Pioneer Day Activities!

Are you looking for something fun to do over the long weekend? Heber Valley has many fun activities for the whole family! Plus, summer nights in Heber are tough to beat!

JULY 24th

The 7th Annual Charleston 24th of July 5k/10k Race will be held.  The race starts at 7:30 am at the Charleston Town Park (3600 S. Charleston Road, Charleston, UT).  Complete details at Timpanogos Foot & Ankle www.heberfootdoctor.com.  All participants will receive a microfiber race shirt. This will be a beautiful race! 

Every Thursday at Main Street Park in Heber City (just north of our office) is the Concert in the Park.  The farmer's market sets up at 4 with lots of vendors and street food carts.  The concert begins at 6:30 pm.  This Thursday the band is Bonanza Town who perform some amazing country covers! Come check it out!


Technically outside of the Heber Valley (but still nearby), Dierks Bentley is coming to Deer Valley Resort in Park City.  The show starts at 7:00 and tickets range from $45-$85.  Check out http://bigstarsbrightnightsconcerts.org/portfolio-items/dierks-bentley for more info!


JULY 25th

Enjoy Music on the Water at The Lodge at Stillwater.  Sit on the beautiful patio overlooking the Jordanelle Reservoir for sunset, music, food, drinks and fun, starting at 7pm. Concerts are FREE. On July 25 Katya Murafo (singer, songwriter, tributes on the violin and piano) will perform. Cuisine: Farm to Table. Vegetarian options are available for all cuisines. The return of summer means the return of summer concerts at Deer Valley's Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater. Each summer, a new and exciting lineup is orchestrated for this beautiful venue and this summer is no exception. Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater will feature concerts by many world-renowned artists and headlining musicians. On Friday, July 25 The Orchestra: Starring former members of Electric Light Orchestra and ELO Part II will perform.  Ticket prices vary.


JULY 26th


One of the most anticipated events of the year, the Demolition Derby will be held Saturday July 26th starting at 6 pm at the Wasatch County Fairgrounds.  Sadly, tickets sold out months ago, but keep checking ksl.com or Facebook for people who might be selling them! 


The Summer Concert Series at Homestead Resort will have a performance by David Tolk who plays the piano on Saturday the 26th starting at 7 pm.  Picnic dinners, including classic summer favorites, are available for pre-order.  Call the Homestead Resort for reservations.  On-site concessions will also be available for purchase. JULY 27th

From 11 am-2 pm at the Wasatch Mountain State Park in Midway, take a tour of the historic Huber Grove and home.  Visit this beautiful, peaceful area and learn about the history of the site.  The farmhouse and creamery will also be open.



And as if that isn't enough, the Wasatch County Fair is starting on Monday July 28!  Great food, terrific events of all types (from livestock shows to lip-sync contests), music, carnival games and more - this is the Wasatch County Fair.


Two big events in this big event are the rodeo and the demolition derby. These are dynamic, loud, exciting events that are never quite the same twice.


More events include:

Battle of the Bands:  Bands from all over Utah are invited to come perform two songs to compete for $350 cash and a recording session at Lee Music.  Hosted by the hilarious Seth Qualey.  Thursday August 1, 7pm.  Registration form available on the County Fair website.
Fair Days Carnival and Country Market:  Open Wednesday July 31-Saturday Aug 3, great merchandise, delicious food and lots of fun rides for all ages!  Discount carnival wristbands available at The Wasatch Recreation Center July 8-29.
Fair Days BBQ:   Join us for a great BBQ dinner and a hilarious hypnotist show on Wednesday, July 31 starting at 5:30pm.  Dinner is $5 per person, and the show is free!
